Over 25 million Americans, mostly women, suffer from bladder leakage, or incontinence. If you are one of these women, chances are you are suffering from weak pelvic floor muscles and Kegels have failed you. Take the 5 question quiz to learn if you are a candidate for BTL EMSELLA, a revolutionary non-invasive, no downtime procedure that takes all the work and time out of strengthening the pelvic floor muscles.

  • Are you a mother?
  • Do you leak a little when you sneeze or laugh?
  • Do you have frequent and sudden urges to urinate?
  • Has leakage refrained your sexual activity in any way?
  • Are you in menopause?

If you answered "yes" to more than one question, you are very likely a candidate.

How does the Emsella chair work?

BTL EMSELLA utilizes High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic technology HIFEM to cause deep pelvic floor muscles stimulation and restoration of the neuromuscular control.

Key effectiveness is based on focused electromagnetic energy, in-depth penetration, and stimulation of the entire pelvic floor area.

What is Emsella chair?

It is an exciting new electro-magnetic energy based technique that provides significant improvement or cure of urinary leakage problems in most women.

The treatment consists of simply sitting on this special chair for less than 30 minutes, fully clothed. Each and every treatment gives the equivalent of 11,000 Kegel exercises in that short time frame.

Who is performing the procedure?

There is not much to “perform” as all you have to do is sit on Emsella chair, completely non-invasive but Dr Parkhurst will conduct a thorough evaluation of your particular situation and apply different settings on the machine to optimize your treatment outcome. We will monitor you throughout the session although it is completely noninvasive.

How many treatments will it take?

The package typically consists of twice weekly treatments in the office for 3 weeks.

What is the recovery time?

There is no downtime or recovery period. You can get the treatment during your lunch hour and return to work immediately after. You can also return to your regular activities the same day.

How much does it cost?

We think that everyone’s need and physical situation (e.g. what type of incontinence, how long did you have it, the severity of it, whether you had given birth, etc) is unique. The price depends on your treatment plan, which is assessed by Dr. Adelglass. They insist on a personal consultation before coming up with a treatment plan for you. The price will be discussed during your consult with Dr. Adelglass and his team.
