Hi Skintastic Clients! I’m Julie Latta.

  julie latta skintastic
Name: Julie Latta
Title: Skintastic Chief Beauty Officer
Years with Skintastic: 20

Beauty Icon: Most would go for the obvious choices here Marilyn Monroe or Audrey Hepburn. Well not me I think someone who is a current beauty icon and is new, fresh, current, up and coming and often overlooked is Sofia Vergara she is a simple all natural beauty that I think will become one of our times beauty icon greats.

What You Love Most about Skintastic: What I love most about Skintastic is that our patients all leave feeling more happy, beautiful and confident than when they walked in. Every day, I get to help people feel better about themselves, what could be better than that?!

Favorite Treatment You Have Tried and Why:  My favorite treatment is the Dot Co2 laser resurfacing.  It is one of the most rewarding procedures as far as results for most all skin problems.  It improves texture, fine lines and wrinkles, exfoliates the old dead skin cells, stimulates collagen growth and leaves your skin polished and renewed.  This is one you will need a few days down time but, so worth it for the amazing results.

Are there specific treatments you would recommend for the 20’s, 30’s, 40’s, 50’s & 60’s woman?

20s: Having regular Microdermabrasions at the start and finish of each season will really give you a great start to good skin care.

30s: Photo Facial to remove early aging and/or brown spots, plus starting injectables in certain areas where fine lines start setting in such as around the eyes and mouth and on the forehead.  The sooner you start the less work you will need in the future.

40s: Apollo radio frequency facials or Micro Needling-Using radio frequency technology we can stimulate collagen growth, tighten skin and improve elasticity of the skin.

50s: ThermiTight described as “thermistor-controlled subdermal skin tightening.” The ThermiRF system is used along with a tiny SmartTip thermistor probe, which is inserted under the skin to heat subdermal tissues to a user selected specific temperature. During the ThermiTight procedure, internal temperatures are monitored and regulated by the system computer.  It also thermal imaging which gives the physician real time external temperatures to ensure precision of the heating effect while maintaining safe skin temperatures. This is quickly becoming the lunch time neck left.  This procedure is safe, effective, no anesthesia required and little to no downtime.

60s:  The facelift… might be time to consider a facelift.  Don’t be scared facelifts have come a long way since the days of over pulled faces celebrities have sported around in the past.  They are more natural looking and a much easier and with current technology recovery is much easier than it used to be.

What is the new and upcoming treatment you would recommend trying?

Cool Sculpting. Even the most active people have those stubborn little problem areas that they can’t get rid of on their body.  Cool Sculpting’s unique technology uses controlled cooling to freeze and eliminate unwanted fat cells without surgery or downtime.  The procedure is FDA-cleared, safe and effective.  The best part is it only takes an hour in most cases.

At what age would you recommend a woman or man to start their preventative care?

It’s never too early to start preventative care, the earlier you start fighting against the aging process the easier it will be in the future. My number one recommendation is to use sunscreen every day.  This is the easiest most basic way to combat the aging process.  Studies show that 80-90% of onset aging is from sun exposure.

What Skintastic products would you recommend trying?

Hands down Teoxane RHA Serum. Backed by 10 years of research, Teoxane’s patented RHA Resilient Hyaluronic Acid technology uses a process to create skin Hydrostasis, a long lasting hydrating matrix on the skin’s surface. This allows the skin to maintain hydration while delivering nutrients to the skin and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It really keeps my skin looking bright and polished. People ask my age all of the time and when I say I’ll be 40 this year they can’t believe it.  I credit this product with my youthful look.

What beauty trends are you seeing for summer?

LIPS! Full, plump, yet natural looking lips are all the rave right now.  The key is don’t’ over do it!  Like some celebrities…..“Kylie Jenner.”   Less is more.  Keep them full and natural without over filling.  Also, thick/full eyebrows are the “it” thing this summer.  Full sharply shaped eyebrows can change your whole look of one’s facial structure.

What is something specific you would like your Skintastic readers to know?

I am a busy mom and really do everything but nothing beats eating healthy and exercising regularly.  I am an exercise class junkie and I feel like I am in the best shape of my life.  Also, it is important to get 7-8 hours of sleep and drink lots of water to stay beautiful! Not only does water help your skin look young and fresh, but it helps your brain retain memory and helps your body with digestion.
