‘Tis the season for black tie events and holiday gatherings. It is the year’s most social season. What’s in your wardrobe? You’re sure to look stunning at any event with 2012’s holiday fashion trends. The following are some of our favorites at Skintastic!
Velvet – Do you think old and drab when you think velvet? An embossed pattern on a gorgeous jewel-toned gown with a touch of sparkle is all you need to look oh-so-glamorous at your upcoming black tie event. Look for a piece with an elegant cut, such as deep neck or high slit on the leg.
Jumpsuits – Jumpsuits are back and sexier than ever. For a ladies’ night out a jumpsuit with a fun pattern isn’t only elegant and sexy, it’s comfortable.
Printed trousers – Patterned and printed pants and trousers, even jeans are big this season. Add dimension and a touch of spice to a more casual affair with a pair of printed trousers.
Studded sandals or ankle-strap pumps – Every woman knows no outfit is complete without a fabulous pair of shoes. Look for metallic studded leather sandals, ankle-strap pumps, satin and suede.
Shearling – Shoes, coats, jackets and capes are lined with sheepskin or lambskin pelt this season. Unfortunately, the shearling may be too warm in these record-breaking December temps in Dallas!
Bracelets and accessories – For a high-class night on the town, think diamonds and crystals on your bracelets. For a more casual affair, look for a gold-plated cuff bracelet.
Handbags – Don’t leave home without your handbag or clutch. From animal skin to satin and lace, no matter your personal style, there’s a handbag this season for you.
Belts – Add structure and tailor to any ensemble with a belt.
Colors – The runways were filled with greys, purples and shades of brown as well as sapphire blues, red, maroon, deep golds, rust, eggplant this season. Deep, dark, rich colors are a sure win for any outfit, from a casual dinner party at home to a holiday gala.
