So, how is it done? First, our patients are put into a comfortable, painless 'twilight sleep' using intravenous sedation--another popular mini-lift advertised widely in our area does not offer this--their patients are awake throughout the entire procedure! Next, a small, "S" incision is made along the sideburn, extending behind the ear, around the earlobe and up to the hairline. The underlying connective tissue is then tightened and re-anchored, and excess skin subtracted (another popular mini-lift removes the same amount of excess skin for every patient). The incision is then sutured closed using a special surgical technique designed to minimize scarring.
