Skin Lesion Removal
Although SKINTASTIC is not a dermatology practice per se, our medical aesthetic and surgical staff members have experience addressing many types of benign skin lesions and irregularities, including:
- Moles
- Skin Tags
- Hyperpigmentation
- Melasma (skin reddening)
- Keratoses (overgrowth of horny tissue)
- Fibromas (benign fibrous tumors)
- Milias (whiteheads--caused by blocked oil glands)
- Acne Pimples
- Telangiectasia (small, permanently-dilated blood vesses near the surface of the skin)
- Cholesterol Deposits (yellow, soft, raised bumps)
- Clogged Pores
- Spider Naevi (reddish spots with 'spider's web' appearance radiating out from center)
- Cherry Angiomas (red to purple vascular lesions that appear primarily on the torso)
A SKINTASTIC treatment that is used to correct many skin irregularities on the surface of the skin is called the Lamprobe. The results are immediate and instantaneous, and each lesion takes only a few seconds to treat. One of the benefits of Lamprobe is that it offers minimum discomfort--no anesthesia is required. Another benefit of Lamprobe is that only one treatment is generally required.
SKINTASTIC also employs Fotofacial IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) for erasing age spots and freckling, the Yag Laser for many vein issues, and our surgical staff can perform minor surgical excisions. These lesion removal treatments are not covered by insurance at SKINTASTIC as they are considered to be cosmetic in nature.
SKINTASTIC offers a complimentary evaluation for minor skin lesion removal: Call 972-620-3223, ext. zero to schedule.
