Jeffrey Adelglass, M.D., F.A.C.S. of SKINTASTIC Medical & Surgical Skin Rejuvenation Centers is one of the first doctors nationwide formally-trained to use the new FDA approved Contour Threading™ face lifting procedure. This revolutionary new procedure uses Contour Threads™ to lift sagging placement of the brow and midface, to achieve natural looking results without any scarring.
Some advantages of a 'Gentlelift™' face lift are that it: • Is less invasive than surgery • Is less time consuming • Is low risk • Is customized to your needs • Offers a short (if any) recovery time • Lasts many years • Is less costly than surgery
Originally invented as the 'Featherlift' in 1996 by a Russian doctor, the GentleLift™ face lift was a vast improvement upon the original, with the addition of Contour Threads™ that literally lift the skin upward for a safe, conservative and effective facelift.
The threads are made of polypropilane--a bio-compatible, non-toxic material which has been safely used in the body for many years in other medical products. The threads, which have cogs, are inserted under the skin with a thin needle. The cog suspends and gently lifts sagging tissue and drooping skin of the face and neck. In about an hour, a facelift or browlift is achieved using only local anesthesia.
The procedure takes less than an hour and recovery time is under 72 hours. There are no bandages needed and aftercare is minimal. Patients can usually return to normal activities within the same week.
In general, the best candidates for this procedure are men and women from their thirties to their sixties who don’t have a large amount of sagging skin. Gentlelift™’s results can also be maximized when combined with other non-invasive procedures such as Restylane®, BOTOX® Cosmetic, Fotofacial, Chemical Peels, Sculptra, LED and Microdermabrasion.
“I recommend the Gentlelift™ face lift to patients who have moderate midface sagging,” says Dr. Jeffrey Adelglass. “The results of Contour Threading will appear dramatic, yet natural, because it doesn’t pull the skin too tight. Younger patients who haven’t aged as much will also see outstanding results and enjoy enhanced facial rejuvenation.”
The Featherlift has been performed by many doctors in Russia, France, Brazil, Italy, Spain, Australia and Argentina over the past 6 years, using 'invisible threads', and obtaining magnificent results. In the U.S., less than 250 surgeons are trained to use this threading procedure. Jeffrey Adelglass, M.D., FACS, SKINTASTIC™’s Founder, is the only doctor in North Texas fully trained in the GentleLift™’s contour threading face lift technique, which transforms the face and jaw line, and lifts droopy eyebrows, cheeks, and sagging neck skin.
