WHAT IS the DOT?

The

DOT Fractional CO2 SmartXide laser

is one of the most popular treatments at SKINTASTIC because it offers incredible skin resurfacing without the extended downtime, oozing and unnatural-looking "red-face" results often experienced by patients who have traditional fully-ablative CO2 treatments. Generally, DOT/SmartXide patients experience only a few days of peeling, and return to a normal appearance within a few days after treatment, with improvements (skin tightening, collagen remodeling, smoother, more uniform tone and texture) occuring gradually over the next few months.

The DOT laser can also be used for rejuvenation of other body areas besides the face, and can be used to reduce the appearance of stretch marks. Generally, only one treatment is needed for most patients, except in the case of severe acne pitting, deep scarring or deep wrinkles.
